The Royal Salute range is well-known for its fantastic blends, but now it boasts a blended grain! This expression celebrates the sport of snow polo, akin to a previous bottling from Royal Salute that celebrated beach polo. Except, y'know, it's not on a beach. Or it might be, depending on if it snowed on the beach.
Tasting notes from Master of Malt:
Nose: Toasted oak, earthy clove and a hint of coffee, all wrapped up in a blanket of caramel. Palate: More toffee and warming spices, now with just a touch of cooked apple. Dry hickory, Hobnob biscuits and honey. Finish: Cinnamon, nutmeg, oak and melted butter.
